Not to take anything away from the guys in the video, just to add, a similar goal was made by Mikael Granlund (Minnesota Wild) during the '11 world championship against Russia, in a semi-final… Superb display of skill from all the guys!

one of the best of those goals ever… dang!

  • Reply Slow-wipe February 7, 2013 at 3:57 am

Amazing goal. Not only he picked it up so smooth and quick he moved it to the backhand so quickly. Too bad for you Michael you couldn't cradle the puck and lacrosse it up. Actually the smoother and less force you exert on the stick the easier it was to do it.

  • Reply SonOfAEggPlant204 February 7, 2013 at 3:57 am

sidney crosby and pavel datsyuk can do this in there sleep

  • Reply cfamackenzie February 7, 2013 at 4:14 am

Of course Michael could be an athlete. He looks just like New Canadian RA Dickey. Blue Jays 2013!

    Love this comment.

  • Reply Absolut187 February 7, 2013 at 5:51 am

People try this move all the time in competitive hockey leagues around here…It usually ends up with them getting the shit kicked out of them for trying it

  • Reply TYT Sports February 7, 2013 at 9:49 am

Well if it occurred in the game, and it's not an all-star game where defenders let it happen, I consider it a real part.

  • Reply TYT Sports February 7, 2013 at 9:49 am

    Got a link?

  • Reply TYT Sports February 7, 2013 at 9:50 am

Hard enough that Shuresy could not grasp it, and I'm sure many others could not as well.

He plays for Century High School in Bismarck. He scored a hat trick winning goal in overtime, too.

  • Reply Clarence LeBlanc February 7, 2013 at 12:40 pm

I posted it on my timeline on Facebook. I have 600 friends and most are hockey mad…getting lots of comments. I'm developing a doc series for RDS….our sports network for French Canada. The series is called Crossroads and I'll be taking players that are 40 to 50 and the one thing they have in common…they were drafted…some high…some low…all with the dream. I'll be following those that were drafted 5 overall in 1985 and ended up playing 0 games in the NHL…what happened?

  • Reply Absolut187 February 7, 2013 at 2:17 pm

New York but I'm pretty sure it's a universal unwritten rule that trying this will get you decked. Ever since the guy from Michigan did it, people try it all the time

  • Reply Cavin Patch February 7, 2013 at 2:31 pm

you have it wrong…he plays for bismarck century and they were playing against bismarck high

  • Reply Darren Haga February 7, 2013 at 3:20 pm

You guys screwed up. Rauhauser plays for CENTURY not Bismarck High. That would be like saying a Michigan player plays for Ohio State.

  • Reply omegavalerius February 7, 2013 at 3:35 pm

How about a link to the 2011 world championships semifinals and a lacrosse style goal in traffic /watch?v=JazGHYDwp-s

This was the winning goal and Finland went on to win the final against our arch rivals Sweden with an amazing 6-1 result.

  • Reply 27Dawkins February 7, 2013 at 6:20 pm

You guys fucked up. He's a senior at Century High School who was playing cross-town rival Bismarck High School. You guys are pretty credible..

  • Reply random12458 February 7, 2013 at 10:24 pm

Alec Rauhauser is a senior at Century High Schoo, they were playing against cross town rivals Bismarck High

  • Reply random12458 February 7, 2013 at 10:26 pm

The winning goal was scored by Chris Brown in OT, but Alec did have a hat trick
