Clubs & Organizations: Episode 1 – Boxing Club

(Music) It started back in 2007 People appreciated the sport of boxing and they felt that the school needed a boxing team considering, how many things this school lack sports. (Music) (Silence) (Music) Our room is located in Redwood Hall 251 That’s where we train and our meetings, we conduct them over there. The actual boxing meetings, It should be Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Tuesdays and Fridays, it’s 8:00 to 10:00 pm, and then Thursdays, it’s 9:00 through 11:00 You got to have, the motivation and willing to go to the limit. The conditioning that we do, we push you to the limit We’ll do sprints, squat walks, burpees, bear crawls, and then afterwards we transition into actual sparring. (Boxing Bell) (Music) Keep pushing forward, even in moments of faltering (Music) Eat or be eaten. That’s how you train. (Music) You learn not to fear as many things just because you feel like you have learned a skill that will deter other people that might harm you or anything like that. If you get your ass beat and you come back and you obviously like it, then it’s for you. (Silence) (Music) I like to think that it made me a lot tougher.
