For me … Jody wins at least 2 fights and I think another 2 are draws ….

  • Reply jscottrockford August 23, 2013 at 5:10 am

By the time Probert came to Chicago his best days were clearly behind him. He didn't really like to fight by then, and the tie down rule wouldn't let him come out of his jersey as almost always used to happen during his fights in Detroit

  • Reply mitch dineen September 8, 2013 at 11:45 pm

    probert got beat 4 times.

  • Reply Callin' You January 7, 2014 at 2:32 am

Shelley won all of them. Probert pushing him down does not count as a loss. Shelley was just better.

  • Reply Jordan Samson June 18, 2014 at 12:14 am

    RIP Bob

  • Reply Katie frasher October 25, 2014 at 10:02 am

Shelley said that these were the fights that stayed in his mind.

  • Reply Jonathan Jensen November 3, 2014 at 4:31 pm

    SHelley never lost to Probert

  • Reply Andrew Servick November 25, 2014 at 3:15 am

line these guys up at age 27.  Shelleys nowhere near the fighter Probert was.  At this time in his career, the young bucks would fight Probert for notoriety.  No one ever came up in the league saying "i want to fight like Jody Shelley"  It's the difference between the men and the boys.  Probert beat the hell out of the NHLs toughest men to ever lace up skates.

  • Reply Grigori Rasputin1990 January 3, 2015 at 3:18 pm

probert sucked so much during his hawks days, sure he destroyed a prime Parker but most of the time he got mauled by weak heavyweights, all you hear is probert's fans saying "he's old, he's this he's that" Dave Brown or Brashear played during their 30s too and still demolished pretty much everyone except a select few, probert is grossly overrated and it's also due to COCAINE which he snorted a lot during his wings days  which gave unfair advantage  to his drug addicted ass. not to mention his jersey which he lost far often for my liking.

Oh and shelley wins 3 of them, some heavyweight king huh probie?

  • Reply Fraevo10 January 3, 2015 at 7:08 pm

What exactly the fuck was Jody Shelly trying to prove with this shit?

  • Reply TheOfficialCMAN January 5, 2015 at 1:08 am

Shelly is great. He's the blue jackets anchor

  • Reply bclark5423 February 20, 2015 at 2:06 am

3-0-1 for Shelley. Sorry if Probert was old but I'm just scoring fights.

  • Reply Grant White April 19, 2015 at 2:13 am

I'd say it was 2-2; Shelley is one hell of a fighter and can connect with haymakers, but I think Probert handled himself damn well during this series.

R.I.P Probbie, best NHL enforcer ever!

  • Reply Adam Mitchell June 12, 2015 at 1:16 am

Shelley was able to grab Probert's right arm at the elbow in all four fights and hold onto it.

  • Reply Alexej v June 22, 2015 at 11:13 am

Почему-то именно в драках с Шелли Проберт старался противника не побить, а побороть.

  • Reply Spod1 September 23, 2015 at 10:29 pm

2 edge for Shelley and 2 draws.  Probert sucked.

  • Reply Randy Currie January 1, 2016 at 6:00 am

Probert could score 20-25 why waste his time on that fucking fool.

probert by far, the best tough guy in the history of the game. it's clear the trade from Detroit killed this guy. the beginning of the end for probert!

  • Reply Timothy Franz April 29, 2017 at 10:02 pm

probert lost a lot of fights for someone considered the best ever. Tough but not the best. Not from what ive seen.

Coxe vs Probert was the best fight ever

  • Reply Fore Checker April 3, 2018 at 9:44 pm

Quite a few people here obviously have no clue what they are talking about.Probert played for 17 years at the top and was much more than an enforcer in his career unlike most mentioned here who were just scrappers.Shelley did well here but Probert was 37 years old! ,He will know himself that Bob would have destroyed him in his twenties cocaine or no cocaine.

  • Reply Marc James April 18, 2018 at 2:50 pm

four lame-assed fights….nice sucker in #3 at the end by shelley

Probert was the best,,… Kocur.. the second half of the Bruise Brothers,, a feared puncher that didn't fear anyone.. Stated when you got Probert pissed.. there is no better fighter… period.. and one no one wanted to fight him when he was like that

  • Reply Rick Solis July 30, 2018 at 4:27 am

Probert was starting to slow down by this time…

  • Reply Tom Quinton October 29, 2018 at 1:18 am

  • Reply T.K. April 7, 2019 at 6:33 pm

I think Probie's age shows here. Even so he did pretty well against a younger guy.

  • Reply Mike Sinclair April 9, 2019 at 4:31 pm

When Bob Probert Went to the Chicago Blackhawks he had A right torn rotator cuff injury.his should was holding on buy a piece of thread.
Probert in prime would have cleaned shellys clock on any given day of the week
Hated To see Probert like This…hurt and people didn't even know it at all..

  • Reply Paddy Irish May 21, 2019 at 6:21 pm

    All 4 close draws

  • Reply David Suarez June 8, 2019 at 7:41 pm

Probert was only 30 when he went to Chicago he wasn’t over the hill he wasn’t dying well not yet. Hell he had the second highest penalty minute total ever in his career three years into being in Chicago. The only difference in his win percentage from Detroit to Chicago were the fighters all the players he fought were smaller than him. That simply wasn’t the case anymore he still did good knocking out Parker holding his own against all the top heavyweights it just wasn’t man against boy anymore. Most of these guys in Chicago were bigger than him and stronger. When the poor guy finally decided to join the chemical parade he had a dumbass coach who was still coaching in the 50s and told him you’ve gained too much weight as you get older you have to lose weight in this game in the season he came in 30 pounds heavier he had to lose it before he could play. Brian Sutter tough as hell player rotten coach. I believe his training techniques included Boxing a kangaroo and chasing a chicken. Over longevity Probert still the best ever but quit making excuses for him in Chicago he did well enough he didn’t need them.

  • Reply Nightrain76 June 27, 2019 at 3:22 am

Even though age kept up with Probert, didn't stop him from having 4 fights in 3 days. Dave Brown nor Joe Kocur fought that much at this age. Probert is king.

  • Reply Jason Striation July 25, 2019 at 4:48 pm

Shut up down below. The trade was nothing. The simple problem here is he's having to scrap all these GH roid heads. All these new guys are 40/50 pounds over there natural weight. Maybe if you went to the fucking gym once in your life you'd figure it out🎯

  • Reply John Barrett July 27, 2019 at 9:02 pm

Jody Shelley is the toughest Hockey Player in Nova Scotian history.

Congratulations to Jody on being a Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame inductee.

  • Reply Rod Belding August 1, 2019 at 5:56 am

Probert was towards the end of his career here. A prime Probert probably takes it to Shelley, and that's no knock on Jody Shelley.
