– Hey, what’s up guys?
Welcome back to another vlog. I think it’s Friday. We lose track of days
here in the summertime but yes, I think it’s Friday. The only reason I know that is
because the weekend’s coming and both kids have sports. Speaking of kids, we
got a little Bevo over here. Bryce and him eating snacks. Looks like Sierra’s
making a snack as well. What you got, Sierra? – Yogurt with granola.
– [Clintus] Yogurt with granola. I’m kind of on the fence. I want a snack but at the same
time I’m getting ready to leave the house so you know maybe I’ll
pick up a smoothie or something. Just got my order
of King’s Coast Coffee. Really excited to try this. It’s the Aztec reserve. Everyone that tries this says
it’s their new favorite so I’m really excited to try that. I also got their newest flavor. Do you call coffee a flavor? I don’t know but
their newest coffee, high octane. It’s in partnership
with the OK Athletics. Excited to try that too. So new coffee, coffee hype. Yeah, not sponsored but
they’re friends of mine. They hook me up with coffee and
so any time I get new coffee I always like to promote it, kinda give ’em
a little shoutout. It’s KingsCoastCoffee.com,
check it out. You can get roast to order
coffee delivered right to your house and I’m
not gonna lie guys, it’s first time I’ve ever,
ever drank black coffee before. All their coffees are great,
check ’em out KingsCoastCoffee.com. Oh, also if you have Twitter,
if you wouldn’t mind just like sending them a little tweet,
a little tweet saying, “Hey, I saw you on @Clintus’
vlog,” that’d be really cool. That way they know I’m
giving them a little shoutout, that sort of thing.
Say, “Hi King’s Coast.” It’s @Kings_Coast.
I think it’s @Kings_Coast. Just be like, “Yo, what’s up?
I saw you on Clintus’ vlog.” – Hello. Might not have seen
my face on this vlog camera. We’re returning that. It’s wobbly and
Bryce is getting a ride. Yeah! – Alright, so yeah,
as Mason said, we’re taking back one of the
chairs that we got last weekend because the base is bent so that
chairs like sitting on an angle. So you sit and you’re kinda like
leaning to one side and when you swivel you kind of
do this swivel thing. Very weird. Anyways, we got more sitting
here so we’re just swapping one for the other and then we’re
also picking up the couch and table that we ordered online
have it delivered with the chairs, to the store. Now we have the full,
the full kit. – Playing Fortnite.
– [Clintus] Playing Fortnite? Ah, it’s a shopping cart.
– Yeah. – [Clintus] There you go. You got to be
ready for it, Mason, you got to be
ready when he comes out. He’s emoting,
he’s emoting on it. – What the? (Bryce mimicking
backup siren) – Hi.
– Next order of business. – Leslie’s. – For what?
– A pool basketball hoop. – A pool basketball hoop, yes!
We have a basketball hoop. It’s not really for the pool. We’re gonna get an
official one, a real one. On that the kids
can actually dunk on. ‘Cause I want to
dunk on Mason’s face. Did we find what
we were looking for? – Yeah.
– Yeah? – Yeah.
– Yeah? It’s back there somewhere. Among the boxes of stuff. Literally my bed
of my truck is full. Full. Chair, couch, table
and now basketball hoop. Whoop, whoop! – [Tiffany] Teamwork, teamwork. Oh, this looks like
bad news right here. – Alright, back home. We’re got the couch,
which I’m not looking forward to helping put together. I didn’t have to put together
the chairs so I’ll probably have to help put that together. I got another chair that we have
to put together and a table. So more things to put together
but the thing that this guy is most excited about and he’s
gonna be helping me put together is this new basketball hoop. Leslie’s official Poola-Hoops.
What a name. – [Bryce] Poola-Hoops.
– [Clintus] Poola-Hoops. Not sponsored. – [Tiffany] So we have the rim. Yeah, that’s big.
– [Clintus] Yeah. – [Tiffany] Put it
on you, Bryce. – [Clintus] It’s
a full sized hoop. – Okay, wait.
Hold it, yeah. – [Clintus] We got
the heavy duty one. – [Tiffany] Oh yeah. – Wait, is this the
size of a normal hoop? – [Tiffany] Now hula hoop. I was totally
thinking that hula-hoop. – [Bryce] Wiggle, wiggle. – [Tiffany] Wow.
That’s nice. Just like that? Is that where it’s going boys? – Yeah! – [Tiffany] Okay,
I think they changed spots. You’re gonna put it over here?
– Yep. – [Tiffany] Fillin’ it up. – That, right there?
– Yep. And that goes there. – [Mason] They made progress.
Progress. Now we’re putting on the net. We got all the bolts.
– [Clintus] All the bolts. Just got to get a wrench so I
can tighten ’em up all the way. – [Mason] Yeah. – [Clintus] ‘Cause my
fingers can only go so tight. – [Mason] Yeah. And I’m pump the
ball up right now. – [Chrissy] Do the honors? A new basketball hoop. – [Sierra] And I got the ball. A lot of work
carrying the ball back here. – [Clintus] Mason, you put
it in but then you have to turn it so it goes in. Yeah, there you go. Swivel. – [Bryce] Yeah, I don’t think
we can dunk on that either. If we scoot it
over this way, maybe. – [Sierra] It’s basically
about the same amount as the other one was. – [Clintus] Huh. That’s weird. Alright, so here it is guys. It’s actually a full
size basketball hoop. It’s a full
sized basketball hoop. It’s not what I was expecting. I was expecting it
to be low and dunk-able. Definitely not
dunk-able for the kids. I could probably dunk it
but you definitely can’t. Yeah, definitely can not.
(laughs) I might even have
a hard time dunking that. – Sierra can do
it with a real ball. – [Clintus] Nope,
she’s not tall enough. She’s close, she’s close. But I asked Bryce, “So you sure
you want to keep this or should “we take it back to get
a small one to dunk on?” He said, “Nope,
I want to keep it.” ‘Cause that’s why right there. He wants to play
basketball in the pool. So now we have a
basketball hooping the pool. – [Mason] Did that go in?
– [Bryce] Yeah. – Give my my change, Bryce. – [Clintus] Mom over
here with the kids getting basketball ready.
Girls made some brats. – [Tiffany] Moms
kind of burnt ’em. – [Clintus] No, they’re crispy,
they’re good. That one’s burnt. That’s fine. What do you guys think? Fun?
– Yeah. – [Clintus] You’re glad
we got the full size hoop? – Yep.
– [Clintus] Yep. You guys playing 2-v-1?
– Yeah. – Well there you go guys. It’s official,
basketball hoop is in the pool. Basically everything we
can do here and we have done, challenges, games, they can now
do in the pool all summer long. Stay tuned, there’s gonna be
lots and lots of basketball pool related videos to come. (children chatter) – Sierra! You can put
it up if you want to. Sierra, back here. Bryce, you know what to do. – Well guys that’s gonna
wrap it up for the night. Thanks for watching. Tomorrow volleyball tournament. Basketball tournament for the
kid upstairs taking a shower. Bryce is a two-day. Most basketball tournaments are. – Mine’s kinda like a
two-day but in one day. – Oh, just double up. – I guess, yeah,
they do it in one day. – Yeah, that’s what
volleyball was last time. – The bracket play instead
of having a bracket play it’s just–
– All in one day. Yep, so long day of
sports for both kids. So stay tuned for
those for the videos. We’ll see you next time. Vlog on. (upbeat music)
Something to keep in mind for all you shot
blockers out there and that was not my forte believe me, but for all you shot blockers
out there, whenever you are going up to block a shot you can not, absolutely can not block
the shot if the ball is already on its way down. Now let me try to explain what I mean
by that, if the ball is on an incline, meaning going up, it is fair game. You can block the
shot all day, but if the ball is coming down, for example, if I was shooting a layup, as
soon as that ball hits the backboard or as soon as it is on the decline in anyway, on
its way down coming towards the basket, you can not hit it. So, if I hit it off the backboard,
as soon as it touches the backboard, if you touch the ball, it is “goal tending”. No matter
how you look at it. So, goal tending, any time some one goal tends, you automatically
hand the other player the points, they actually count the basket. You want to always; you
do not want to give away points when you are playing basketball that is not the object
of the game. So, we understand you are defensive minded, you want to block the shot, you shot
blockers, but you do not want to give up points. Take your time, check the ball out, see if
it is on its incline and not on the decline, before you block the shot.
On a day that saw Jim Calhoun and the 1990 Huskies honored, Dan Hurley and his UConn
squad showed a familiar grit and toughness as they upset Cincinnati. Samara Thacker:
The first half was off to an aggressive start for the Huskies as Vital led the way offensively
with a quick three and a few attacking drives, but unfortunately, Cincinnati had the better
start as the Huskies were attacking but couldn’t consistently put the ball in the basket. But
it would be UConn’s intensity on defense that would spark their offensive momentum. And
energetic defensive stretch led to back-to-back threes for Adams and a deep three from Vital,
who had finished the first half with 14 points. Vital may have taken over the first half,
but the second half was all about James Bouknight. The freshman sensation picked up where you
left off in Tulsa, coming out on fire. Uconn constantly went to Bouknight for an offense
and he delivered. Dan Hurley:
Yeah, there’s so many big moments and big games ahead with that guy, and to do it against
a team that’s that physical was an impressive. But his last two games against two of the
most physical teams in the country and two great defensive teams. Samara Thacker:
But Cincinnati wouldn’t die, and both teams went back and forth in the final minutes.
With just over a minute remaining, it was once again Bouknight with a big bucket, tying
the game. Neither team could gain an edge in the final minute, and the Huskies were
heading to their fourth overtime this season. In overtime, it would be the UConn crowd that
gave the Huskies the energy that they needed to make big stops. Bouknight gave Uconn a
lead by hitting a pair of free throws, and it would be the defense by the Huskies in
the end with two seconds left that gave you a 72-71 victory. Samara Thacker:
This is the second consecutive big win for the UConn Huskies as they improved with 13
and 10 on the season, and look to keep the momentum going at SMU on Wednesday. From Gampel
Pavilion, I’m Samara Thacker, UCTV sports.
