Hello with Justin Vorster this is BJ Schaben. When you look at this matchup, Dowling Catholic has been powerful as of late, but Iowa City West is getting their feet underneath them. >>JUSTIN: We’re in for a treat. Both teams playing fantastic attacking futbol. They have a number of players to impress us today. >>BJ: For Dowling Catholic, they’re led by Bailey Bravard.>>JUSTIN: She can turn and take up players. She will get her teammates running. >>BJ: For Iowa City West they have the Fountain of Youth. No seniors in the starting lineup but Emma Cooper is one to watch. >>JUSTIN: She’ll get the ball in the midfield, can score goals. An effective player.>>BJ: Here at the Cownie stadium. 78°, overcast conditions, wind starting to pick up out of the south. 4 to 10 miles per hour. Let’s go to the package address announcer for the destruction of today’s teams here’s Al Hilton.>>ANNOUNCER: Let’s meet the teams meeting for the class 3A state championship. The visiting teams will be the Dowling Catholic Maroons! [Cheers] Sydney Stork, Ally Goldsmith, grace Herman, Jen Beall, Ali Slater. Good luck to both teams and let’s play championship soccer!>>BJ: Great crowd on hand for this class 3A state title game. We take a look at the starting lineups once again. Dowling Catholic at 17-2, looking for their first-ever state title in girl soccer. Here’s how they will go approximately Bravard, Daniel, Day, Egan, Broderick, Kornstad, Bertram, Kelly, Lensing and Hagenbucher. For the Iowa City West Women of Troy ranked second at state. Olson, McDonnell, Pottratz, and then you’ve got Zimmerman and Steigleder in the middle up-front with Saunders, Cooper, Frisbie and Rhodes. Little bit different lineup with City West. It is done different because of Dowling or why is it. >>JUSTIN: I think Dave Rosenthal likes to play an attacking style. With Emma Cooper. Be fantastic for them. Regan Steigleder in the middle. It will be interesting to see what her role is. Whether it is a holding role. Having said that, you know Dowling Catholic will go out with 3-5-2 system today style of play. They like to play and get the ball on the deck and pass it around. It will be key. A player to watch out for today, apart from Bailey Bravard is Haley DeHaes, he’s the pivot in the midfield that can hold the ball and distribute. >>BJ: How they got here Iowa City West defeated a team in double overtime and defeated Johnston 2-1 in the semi’s. They took care of valley in the semifinals 2-1. The 1A championship earlier today went to bishop. They dominated 2-0. In the two. A title game akin outlasts pleasant valley in overtime, 2-1. Now time to win who will win the class 3A state championship. Iowa City West making the 14th state appearance eighth street. No seniors in the starting lineup. One won the first 14 games before dropping to Johnston and Dowling Catholic. In the early game, Dowling pretty much had their way with the Women of Troy as they were able to dominate 3-0, the final score there. And both go to the game of long ago. Now, Iowa City West looking to attack. Last time, they were in the title game, they lost to Ankeny. Kuehn to get up, she was tangled up. >>JUSTIN: Abby puts her mark on it. Nice, solid tackle.>>BJ: Steigleder had a drag. Puts her right foot into this one. Knuckleball. Handled cleanly by Nikkole Day. >>JUSTIN: Dipping it in front of her. They did well. >>BJ: Hard to believe Dowling Catholic has never won a state championship. They’ve been successful in a lot of sports. And they’ve been pretty good the last several years but have been unable to lay claim to the title. This one will be kicked away by Maroons and Daniel. >>JUSTIN: They’ve played the ball behind her. They need to be aware. Especially in the back. >>BJ: Taken away by the Maroons. Right at midfield. Launched deep. They got a runaway break away with Rhodes. The side will center it. This cleared out by Dowling Catholic. Iowa City West will try to regroup. Day will step up and gather. Things just weren’t there for West. It looks like for a moment they might have had a glimmer of an opportunity. >>JUSTIN: Looked like an overstart by Dowling Catholic, to be honest. Rhodes gets the call, forces the free kickoff Broderick. I’m sorry. Kaylee. — yeah, Vivian Broderick. >>BJ: Rhodes took the punishment. Kaylee Olson. Will launch it towards the net. Leans forward. This is off the hands of Day. She gets it on the rebound.>>JUSTIN: Good delivery into the box. Again, testing the keeper. A little bit of a nervous start by Day.>>BJ: Iowa City West will throw it in. Look at this one again. It was leaning towards Day. >>JUSTIN: She took her eye off the ball at the last minute. Saw Emma Cooper put coming in. Dropped it, misplaced, managed to smother it in the end. It looks like Iowa City West is playing a 4-3-3 system.>>BJ: Now on the attack. Dowling Catholic. That one quickly smothered up on the play by Shaffer. Dowling Catholic >>Forward trying to find Bravard. Towards the net. Knocked down. No rebound. Caitlin Ryan smothered it up. >>JUSTIN: You can’t give Bravard space at the box. She weaves past the defender. Good strike with her left foot. >>BJ: That was stopped by Ryan’s knees. This one will roll out. Back and forth, each team getting a chance on net. But the goalies on the ground here, much of what we have seen for much of the state tournament. >>JUSTIN: Yeah, the goal keeping has been good so far.>>BJ: Kept out by keeper. >>JUSTIN: Sara Kelly that can play predominantly a right-footed player. A good balance Dowling Catholic have up-front. >>BJ: They jumped out to a new lead. But the Maroons did not panic. They had to change their philosophy late in the game to actually knock off the West Des Moines tigers. They were really harassed. Their forwards were in there that game. We think some of the same scenario play out as we have a corner kick coming up. Vivian Broderick, we’ll get your thoughts on that in a moment as Broderick is at the ready, towards the middle. Back deep. This is headed out. As Abby Kornstad. Yeah, she barely used his right foot. She turned on the right foot, buried it into the net. >>BJ: Redirected out. Here comes the Women of Troy. Out ahead to Rhodes. Tries to slow it down. Noggins it away. Steigleder will pass it deep in the corner. Cooper tries to put it back to the middle. Steigleder will hold on to it. Good possession of the ball by west. Try to put a charge into it. Zimmerman. A block by Dowling Catholic. [Indiscernible]. >>JUSTIN: Going to tuck in more in the back three. 10 training on the goal side. She needs to be careful there.>>BJ: Pottratz with the shot. This is deflected by Day. Pottratz really lacing one here. >>JUSTIN: Great starting position. Good save aye Day. Needs to shoot from distance.>>BJ: In towards the net. This is in the middle. It is picked up. Still in play. Finally, Dowling will try to clear it away with Bertram. This is the third game in as many days for these two teams. Haven’t seen the bench too much for either. But a lot we’ll see on the field. >>JUSTIN: As the game goes on, we’ll see if we have tired legs. I mean, it’s tough.>>BJ: Rhodes with it, trying to work it against Broderick. Now out ahead. To the middle to Frisbie. And Bravard going to be whistled here. Bailey Bravard, the senior really wants the championship. She’s got a brother and sister who have won championships. Her brother in football, her sister in track. She said prior to the state tournament, it’s time for me to get one. This one launched deep, that is for Day. >>JUSTIN: That is difficult to deal with, reaching it at the highest trajectory point.>>BJ: Maroons on the attack. Bravard trying to get close to the ball. Iowa City West does what they have to. Kick it away. Saunders got it away from Bravard for the moment. Bailey back down with it, to the side. Broderick, to the middle. This will be held by Dowling Catholic and cleared out by Iowa City West. Cooper battles for the ball. Here come the Women of Troy. Numbers three on two. Steigleder had to pull up there. Good get-back for Dowling Catholic. Promising for the moment. This is going against Steigleder. >>JUSTIN: [Indiscernible] holding up. [Indiscernible] staying on her feet. She was spied on as you can see the foul here. >>BJ: That was slowed down as Haley DeHaes turned on the after burners to get down the field. West will control the possession as Pottratz has it in the backfield. Here’s Cooper at midfield Frisbie. And Dowling Catholic will take it over. This one knocked away. Trying to track it — she does — Broderick, near the sideline. Shooting to the middle. Kelly! Another is snared by Caitlin Ryan. She’s not very tall, but if you look at her stats you, you think she’s 6’4″. She has been a terrific net-finder. And has really turned it on this season for Iowa City West down the stretch.>>JUSTIN: A good save for Caitlin Ryan. I’ve seen her playing the part. She’s brave. Very brave. The braveness makes up for the 6’4″ stature that she doesn’t have.>>BJ: Rhodes and Day leading. Steigleder takes it away from Dowling Catholic. A playback to Saunders. It is an easy play. Fly ball there to Nikkole Day. We have seen a lot of action here. Both teams Justin, really going at one another. >>JUSTIN: It is great. Entertaining. Great for the viewers watching on TV and for those here with the stats. It will be entertaining and end-to-end. Great opportunities. I think both teams are settled into the game. We’ll see how it all transpires. >>BJ: Abby Kornstad whistled for the foul. Three assists. Trying to bounce this one in. It will be knocked out and it will stay with Iowa City West. Quick throw-in, by the Women of Troy. Slick footwork there by Saunders. >>JUSTIN: Good work there by Tia Saunders. >>BJ: Bravard, little bit of a break. Will charge ahead for Dowling Catholic. Trying to get to the corn er. This will be nudged out. >>JUSTIN: Pause a good thing they got a corner. Only Sara Kelly on the box against the five defenders. When they break, the rest of the team needs to at least get three plays into the box. Vivian Broderick again, with the corner kick.>>BJ: Daniel will track it in front of her. Cooper. Good footwork. Right foot! Just off to the side of the net. Oh, she had a break away. Emma Cooper, I’m sure, would like to have that one back. It was deflected out by Nikkole Day.>>JUSTIN: Fantastic footwork. Goes in, go out. I shot across the box would have been better to save that into any oncoming forward. Corner kick for Iowa City West. This one goes high. >>JUSTIN: Out of bounds first.>>BJ: Offsides. They’ll call it out. You’re right. They’re calling it out here. Iowa City West really jammed the box there. Dowling Catholic back with it. Marin Daniel, the junior. A lot of veterans on this team. 10 starters back from last year’s Dowling Catholic team that went to the semifinals only to fall to the Buick hemp stead. And two years ago, 2013, they lost to Ankeny here at the soccer complex. This one left to the middle. Dowling Catholic to Steigleder tries to bounce it to Cooper. Intercepted on the play by Lensing. Women of Troy right back at it. Steigleder. Boy, going to be tripped up. Now the whistle, the penalty against Haley DeHaes.>>JUSTIN: Just watch the movement. That is definitely a foul. >>BJ: DeHaes is what?>>JUSTIN: Regan says, again?>>BJ: With the prekick, here’s Katie Olson. They will try to outnumber the right side. Olson up high. Cooper centered it to Rosen, was denied on the play by Broderick. And Iowa City West will throw it in. Sarah Kelly >>JUSTIN: A little higher kick, with bend. That would have been in there to track behind it. >>BJ: A prayer from the outside by Frisbie and Day steps up to bring it in. Try to go long with a snapper. And Dowling Catholic hasn’t had too many offensive opportunities. They’ve had a few corner kicks here early on. Bravard might have missed it early on. Three on two back the other way. Cooper leading the way for Iowa City West. Frisbie, tow-tapper off the heel. Hauled in easily by Nikkole Day. She’s been here all afternoon here for Dowling Catholic. >>JUSTIN: I tell you what, BJ, Emma Cooper will be a handful out there. Already a couple of good plays down the right-hand side. >>BJ: Rhodes toward the middle, now to Cooper. Still holding on to the possession now playback wisely Iowa City West. Zimmerman trying to punch it to the middle. Now getting almost everyone involved is the Women of Troy. Saunders. Steigleder. Now to Saunders who will play it towards the middle. Up, on the wing. Cooper, in traffic, shoots it high! It is just over the crossbar.>>JUSTIN: Again, it is Regan Steigleder building it up, as we have a look at the play again by Emma Cooper, slightly under it. Good piece of skill bringing it back up to her right foot. >>BJ: Five shots so far by the Women of Troy. Still a scoreless game with Dowling Catholic with a complete reversal from the earlier contest in which Dowling won 3-0. Iowa City West putting tons of pressure offensively. But Nikkole Day of Dowling Catholic is yet to break. Hagenbucher. Toss it towards midfield. Caligiuri >>BJ: Hagenbucher, Bravard, centering it. Feeding in to Kelly. Knocked back out. Chases after it is Dowling Catholic as Reilly Bertram knocks it out. Scoreless game here as we’re halfway through the first half. Dowling Catholic and Iowa City West. Coming up during the half. Highlights of the Iowa girls athletic union state track and field championships held at drake Stadium in Des Moines. See them at halftime or anytime at IPTV.org. Saunders controls the ball for Iowa City West at the moment. Flip it ahead to Rhodes, down the sideline. Rhodes will stop and try to center it. Dowling Catholic playing well. Daniel on the play. Here are the Maroons. Each team running and gunning, who will be winded?>>JUSTIN: Little bit of pace on the backside from Egan. Rhodes to the right, Cooper to the left. I think they’re looking to get Cooper cut into the right foot because she has a lethal right foot. When she strikes it, be careful. >>BJ: A challenge on the ball. We’ll continue to play, says referee Bill Watson. >>BJ: Neither team has used their bench. Looking to get some of the bench in here at the next opportunity. >>JUSTIN: Fantastic player. She can create. Good on the ball.>>BJ: Pottratz ahead of a shove. We have no whistle. >>JUSTIN: I’m surprised at that. [Indiscernible] maybe we’ll get a look at that now. >>BJ: This will be sealed up by Caitlin Ryan who will waffle it away. Keeping West at bay. Five shots so far. This will roll out. The last contact. What do you think at home? Penalty here or not?>>JUSTIN: It looks like she comes in. Any referee could have given a free kick there. I mean … >>BJ: Hansen will come in to play for Zimmerman. First substitution of the game. Comes with 15:58 to play in the first half. As players we tell them it can get physical. >>JUSTIN: It can be. It looks like it went for her. Rhodes managed to get it inside. Any other referee might have given a free kick. >>BJ: Here’s Cooper with the shot! And score! Iowa City West! [Cheers] >>JUSTIN: Mentioned earlier, you know, Emma Cooper coming and switching side. Rhodes on to the left-hand side. Rhodes with the delivery. Emma Cooper getting inside the defender. What a great finish with the right foot volley. They had no chance there. With this Leah Rhodes and Cooper with the cool. A hat trick against cedar prairie earlier this season. Leads the team now with 55 points. Leah Rhodes, who had an outstanding term continues to roll here. Coach Steve Rosenthal said she’s had a huge tournament. >>JUSTIN: That is not a surprise looking at that. Good work. Great delivery into the box. Emma Cooper getting inside the defender. Bertram is trying to create space for herself here. >>BJ: Iowa City West will get it back. Hampton, flicking ahead. Dowling Catholic has not created much offense. Maybe Bravard will try to get it going. Take a look at this again. Talk about fine passing in traffic. >>JUSTIN: Gets inside the defender. Fantastic finish. Katelyn Hagenbucher needs to get inside. She’s a good player. Has to get your starting position worked out. Check your shoulder. See where she’s coming from.>>BJ: Unphased by this state tournament was Iowa City West. Together they won the first 14 matches of the season before dropping to Johnston and Dowling Catholic. Now we have a whistle. As Regan Steigleder was at midfield. >>JUSTIN: Bailey Bravard dropped in the midfield. Not seeing much up-front. She’s hoping to disrupt Regan Steigleder. A little niggle.>>BJ: Chomp down on the Achilles. >>JUSTIN: Always painful.>>BJ: Kornstad on the sideline. >>JUSTIN: Tia Saunders did well there to intercept the pass.>>BJ: A goal by Emma Cooper a moment ago has given Iowa City West the lead here at 1-0. Here’s Bravard. Bailey, the big swing.>>JUSTIN: That is what they’re trying to do. Get Bailey Bravard to run up the hole, shoot the distance. Get something different. Amy Peterson will come in and Bravard pleading her case here to Phil Watson. >>JUSTIN: Haley must not get frustrated. Must get on with the game. Not let these little things frustrate her. >>BJ: Bravard, trying to stick with the ball. This one up in the air. Now they’re going to swing it ahead to Cooper, who is open. Cooper in the midfield. Trying to bring it home, it will be boomed out of the way by Dowling Catholic. With a goal lead, Iowa City West, head coach David Rosenthal going to their bench, they had the lineup set. Now here’s Sarah Kelly.>>JUSTIN: She’s got no support. Trying to make something happen here. This will be taken away for a moment. >>JUSTIN: Tia Saunders has done well there, very well at left back. There are a few cross goal. Taking care of Sarah Kelly. Some frustration building into Dowling Catholic. >>BJ: Saunders a junior. Knows her position. No points on the board this year. If you talk to anyone in eastern Iowa, they know about her defensive prowess. That is one thing a lot of the coaches in class 3A talk about is the defense. The defenders have been sharp all season. >>JUSTIN: Stern as we have mentioned. Bailey Bravard has dropped deep into the left field. >>BJ: Making a charge of the ball. Peterson. To Schmitt-Morris and this will roll out. Dowling Catholic will go to their bench. Checking in is Claire Caligiuri, who will come into the game.>>JUSTIN: Caligiuri with the first touch. >>BJ: Nothing new for Dowling Catholic. They’ve played from behind before. Here’s Bravard. Using power, oversteps the ball. But still with it. We’ll try to launch. It is blocked. Now back to the near side. Kelly will try to back it down. Trying to kick it away. And this is out on Dowling Catholic.>>JUSTIN: Looks like a corner to me. Starting to press. Nine minutes to go in the half. Hopefully this change from JP and the coaching staff will make a difference.>>BJ: Iowa City West back at it with a one-goal lead. To the middle, with Cooper. This is punched back out. Now up by Lensing. Daniel will push, but there is Steigleder. Now to the side, Cooper. Have to use her left foot. Switches it back. Flare to the middle.>>JUSTIN: Hagenbucher has her handguns full with Emma Cooper. Emma Cooper managed to deliver with her left foot. >>BJ: You throw Steigleder with Cooper and Rhodes out there for your forwards. It’s one of the best lines we have seen — granted we have only played a half here — at the state tournament. >>JUSTIN: I totally agree with you. They’ve got pace, all-around pace up-front. Emma can play left and right. They’re a handful out there. I think with [indiscernible] playing in the back. I don’t know if he will change anything and say hey, guys, deal with it one V one. Bravard. Finding open space. Will launch it deep. >>JUSTIN: Seven minutes to go in the half. Still have another half. Don’t waste it.>>BJ: Wasting that there. Iowa City West, got a little bit of a breather there. DeHaes. Came up with it, poked away by Saunders. Quickly taken back. Playing a little game of pickle in the middle. >>JUSTIN: Good defending by Iowa City West. Very well. Did good with Lexie Shaffer with Sarah Kelly. Little bit of miscommunication there. Cooper tried to play it in defeat. Morgan thought she was going to get a hike. >>BJ: Trying to advance it is Kelly. Nothing doing. And this one will go out. 1-0 lead for Iowa City West. First half winding down. Emma Cooper with the assist from Leah Rhodes as Iowa City West is out in front. Dowling Catholic has had just a couple of opportunities on net one of them Caitlin Ryan is coming up for Bravard. Play off of her foot. Went the opposite way from the intended direction. Steigleder. Oh!>>JUSTIN: Using skill. Like a sprinkler. Just gets it and sprays it >>BJ: Now to Rhodes. Cooper, towards the middle. Steigleder. You’re right. Tough to stop. This one blocked back by Dowling.>>JUSTIN: Playing in the first half for Dowling Catholic. >>BJ: Cooper tried to pound it to the middle. Denied. Good block on the play by Kornstad. Little frustration out of Emma Cooper. Whistle for the foul.>>Way back down there.>>BJ: Dowling Catholic will reset here. Four minutes to play in the first half. The goal lead here for Iowa City West. Dowling Catholic trying to come from behind to win the second straight title. Again, they launch it deep with Kelly. Nobody attacking from the wings.>>JUSTIN: There was a miscommunication. Bailey went outside. >>BJ: Cooper locked up. It stays with Iowa City West. Dowling, Bertram. Quite a tie-up. And now we have the whistle. Payton Pottratz is tied up approximate Bertram. Bertram a little slow to get up.>>JUSTIN: Quite the battle there between per tram and Pottratz. >>BJ: Coming up at halftime highlights of the state track and field championships held at drake Stadium in Des Moines. You can see them at the half or anytime on IPTV.org. Peterson head coach for Dowling Catholic over to attend the injured player, Reilly Bertram. Now the trainer’s also out there as well. They’re really working on her.>>JUSTIN: I tell you what, I think Iowa City West has done a good job containing Bailey Bravard and Iowa City West. They’re not allowing them to get space. We look at the collision here. It is a 50/50 battle. They’re both fighting for it. She might have twisted her neck there.>>BJ: Keeping an eye around her left shoulder. We’ll keep an eye on that. Dowling Catholic has won 15 straight matches coming into this game. One thing they knew was the fact that, you know, after they won their bracket in the tournament of champions in Burlington, they had a good feeling that this — not only the fact that they had 10 starters back, but after that win at the tournament of champions, they felt like this could be the year for them. They’ve had to come from behind on a couple of games this season. Not like they had to before. Justin, when you look at how things are going for them on the field, what has to change?>>JUSTIN: They mustn’t rush it. Try to keep it away from Reagan Steigleder. Try to keep it midfield when defending. When they get it, be patient. Play the ball up to areas that they’re never going to get anyway. They need to be a little more patient. Get it into Bailey. See if she can play one, two, or Sarah Kelly or Claire Caligiuri. She’s trying to beat two, three, four players at once. It won’t work all the time. >>BJ: Player coming in to replace Bertram. Bravard deep and to the middle inspect is — middle. Player kickback by Claire Caligiuri.>>JUSTIN: I would rather have Bravard in the box where she was cause problems.>>BJ: Except for the early goings in this one, Dowling hasn’t mounted much of an offensive threat. 2:20 to play. A 1-0 lead here near Iowa City West. This one ushered out by Kate Olson. Egan with the toss-in, set it up well, as Dowling tries to set up something offensively. See the back of the goal. Shoot it high! This one will be too much soft on the toss towards the net by Haley DeHaes. Now Marissa Frisbie will come back into the game for Iowa City West. They’re trying to go top shelf here on Caitlin Ryan.>>JUSTIN: They have to get the shot right. Caitlin Ryan is a good goal keeper. I’ve seen her save some out of a tough corner, in my part-time watching her. >>BJ: Still a 1-0 lead. To the side. Here’s Carlson. Now back in deep. Coming in to intercept it will be Ryan.>>JUSTIN: Quick off the line there.>>BJ: Bravard. Bailey trying to attack it from the outside. Again. Tia Saunders got inside positioning. Bravard’s shot to the middle. Ryan able to regather the rebound. And there will be no opportunity for Dowling Catholic.>>JUSTIN: Tia Saunders back to Bravard. Good recovery. Patience. >>BJ: Wrap up the first half here and Iowa City West will take a one-goal lead into the locker room. Emma Cooper connects on a pass from Leah Rhodes and Iowa City West has a 1-0 lead after the first 40 minutes of play. What a championship so far by the Women of Troy of Iowa City West trying to get the 20th win of the year and win this class 3A title team. Joined by coach Rosenthal. Joined by your squad. That is the key all season long. Were you surprised to see how much of that in the first half?>>Very organized. Great team. Waiting for them to explode in offense. Well organized in the back. Doing a nice job of playing for each other. If we can keep pressuring their back line, I think we will be in good shape. >>JUSTIN: Dave, you have done a good job through the midfield with full retention. When you look at Bailey Bravard, she’s dropping deep in the infield, what is the message to the players with regards to that?>>Right, we know Bailey is a heck of a player and we have to be aware of two players, because they’re so explosive, they can change the game in a second. >>BJ: Thanks, coach. >>You’re welcome. >>BJ: Iowa City West has a 1-0 lead through the first 40 minutes of play. What a first half. A lot of tracksters burning up and down the field. Speaking of track, let’s get highlights. Here’s Paul Yager. >>All right. Let’s talk about the sprints, it is gun and go. >>There are a lot of things going on. Be patient, not too patient. You have to carry your speed and strength to the finish line. >>One of the best is 4 by 1. That is important for a good team. >>You have to carry the sick around the track as fast as you can. All of the elements come into play with a good relay team. 1A 100 meter dash. Back to Drake University. Katie is in lane four. Next to her is Molly vodder. In black and yellow.>>She might not have the smoothest form but a lot of the strength. Crosses the tape first. Not quite indicated in the finals. Gold, nonetheless. Good finish for her. Natalie. And Haley in line 5. In lane three, you can see the V. Hasman takes off. The senior gets the goal in that race. Foster in lane three. She’s fun to watch run. >>She comes out low. Head is down. She’s so calm and strong and fast. Beautiful form.>>Dare I say “effortless.”>>That’s right. Makes it look easy. Like you said. I like that. 4A. 300 yard dash. The junior from Roosevelt. >>Now it is her time to shine. >>Rose hill has a great tradition. When is it like running for them and being part of that. >>I wouldn’t go to any other school. I love track and this is a great school to go to. >>You set the record in the preliminary. What is different this year opposed to last year. >>This year I had goals set for myself. I reached them here.>>Congratulations. >>She looked to take selfies, did she take one with you. >>Brianna is the winner. Mallory vodder is second. Laude Bronson, Lindsey flaming is third. Haley Voss. Madison E mer go one, two, three. 3A Kerry Duvall. Charles city. And macy meric from Washington is third.>>One of the premiere races 4 by 100 meter relay. We will sane lane six in Des Moines east. >>There is such pride in the relays, especially the handoffs. This is where the race is run. Abilene ren Shaw will run this race for her team. Takes off there, makes the camera move upon you can see how she makes up that distance. Watch that again if you want to see the very impressive running. Another good rely is to sticks. >>Jayhawks at 4 east and six. What key and five, Jasmine blue the junior for Peter rapids Jefferson. The Jayhawks take off and just opens up a big lead an impressive performance for the Jayhawks for Cedar Rapids. >>We were talking about handoffs, how good for the handoffs today. >>Good. >>They were great. >>Talk about the sprint relies, you seem to have a lot of pride. You got the handoff. What is it like working together and finally having everything payoff. >>We wanted to be the best sprint team Iowa has seen. I think we accomplished that, showed everyone we can do this. We did do it. >>Jennifer son is 1. Des Moines east, second, walkee is third. In 1A, Hudson is first, north Lynn of Troy mills is second. And Earlham is third in the 4 by 1 in 1A. In 2 A. Clarinda. Osage, and Roland. Story is third in 2A [indiscernible] 3A, Wahlert is first, Adele is second and Williamsburg is third. Leah vanian in six. Why does anybody want to run this race?>>This is one of the most unforgiving and toughest races in the track meet. Kalie hoss will have an emotional run. A lot of what she went through at this race will be redemption for what happened to her last year.>>She hit the third to last hurdle. At this part of the race, you really have to focus. >>You’re in oxygen debt, soar and have to keep your form in hurdles and you still have to carry your speed. >>Haley hoss, your senior from Carlisle, your state champion. >>This event, you got to have your form and endurance. What were you thinking coming down the stretch. >>I didn’t want anybody to catch me at the end. I had the last hurdle. Keeping in ahead. >>HAUS, your champion in Caroline. Another senior. Lidia is second. And Liz is the third. In 1A, Maddie is your champ, Kenzie is second. And third Mackenzie daver is third. And from 2A. Marcucci is first. Hanna is second. Abby is third. And 4A, block is first, Lewis is second. 3A, 200 meter dash. Emily foul is in lane five. Deanna is in lane one. Dafoe, again, with the great form. >>She’s such a calm runner. Comes out well low. Runs the curve. She’s a great athlete with a great sense of the race. >>She flat out pulls away. Set a record for the prelims, holds on for gold in the finals. Another state final. >>Another senior year. Another state record. What is your thoughts. >>God has blessed me so much. I couldn’t ask for anything better. I still have at 4 by 1. >>What is the most proud of so far. >>Proud of my team. Never once have they held it against me that I’m doing open events. They helped me finish the relays, stick around. Couldn’t be more blessed with the supporters and coaches I have. [Indiscernible] come out here and support me today. >>A great graduation gift for the senior from ADM. Dufoe your champion. 1A, Katie another state championship for her. Jolissa is second. Natalie halfman her fourth title. Hope is sec. 24 aye the champion is Catlin. >>400 competitors took flight in the high jump. Top three finishers clearing more than 5 feet. A look at the class 3A high jump. Third place was van beak. 5’3″. Second went to Megan dur bin. A freshman from green county. 5’4″. The champion was Maria roggia who cleared 5’5″. She won last year in class 2A. >>My freshman year seventh. Sophomore year second place, runner-up. Junior and senior year I have won. Very exciting. I can’t believe all the support I had all four years. You can’t ask for better people to be here with. For me, it was the mental side of it, knowing I could do it, I had done it and a had to push to get it. I’m headed to Winona state university to compete on the volleyball and track team. >>Dodson is the state champ in 1A. Ward for second. And tie for third. Here’s how they finished in the 2A high jump. De-Jong in first, and a tie for third. 4A high jump. Kelly de-George. Grace is second, and third is Emma Kent.>>Here’s how the teams finished. Class 1A is Hudson. 2A Clayton ridge. 3A Hudson. Story in 4A as pleasant valley gets the team again. Last year a great buy-in from teammates. Great plan and great depth on their team. >>The relays set them up to say we can do this. >>They’re young too. Swanson is a sophomore. So many tools. >>That’s it for our track coverage here. Again, if you want to see any of the final races or anyways from the gold medallists, head to our website at IPTV.org. Now back to BJ. >>BJ: Thanks a lot. At county stadium. At the half of the 3A championship game. Iowa City West with a lead over Dowling Catholic. Justin an exciting first half. Iowa City West put a lot of pressure on Dowling. >>JUSTIN: The message to Dowling Catholic is do we change our system do we go for it. Do we up the numbers in the attack. >>BJ: Bravard. Wound up with it hauled in by Caitlin Ryan. Emma Cooper here with a terrific pass by Leo Rhodes. Iowa City West. Seven shots in this game. Four on goal. Corner kick. The Dowling being the aggressor at 7-2. Go to Dowling’s head coach, Pearson, who is standing by. Coach, a second-half adjustment. What did you tell your team?>>Close the gaps. Way too much respect. Tweaking with the system of play. Going with one up top, five in the middle one on the bench. Maybe change things, see how it goes. >>JUSTIN: JP, I note to say you changed your system in the first half. Do you think dropping Bravard deep, would be more effective. >>A lot of it is speed to explore in the store right there.>>BJ: It is underway from Cownie stadium. There is an advantage over Dowling Catholic bile Iowa City West. They’re attacking. We’re back at it. Dowling Catholic goes with the same starters out on the field. Except for Claire Caligiuri is out there. Bertram is still out for the Maroons. Caligiuri is in. And for Iowa City West same starters, Saunders, Olson, Zimmerman, Steigleder. McDonnell. Shaffer, Frisbie. Cooper. Pottratz and Rhodes.>>JUSTIN: As JP mentioned assist in the 4-5-1. As you can see, look at the pace. Again, the matchup is here.>>BJ: Bravard from the corner, pushing it back to the middle. Tangled up. Finally a whistle. There was a lot of heavy contact into the corner. This is a free kick from the study. By a lot of traffic out there. Caroline Egan. Left foot, puts it toward the middle. It is blocked away as Schmitt-Morris it trying to get to it.>>JUSTIN: Needs a bit of bend. >>BJ: A three-in by Dowling Catholic. And a whistle. It will be turned back over to Iowa City West.>>BJ: Two minutes in. Dowling Catholic seeming more aggressive. Iowa City West has been here 14 times to the state tournament. Dave Rosenthal has coached each one of the teams.>>JUSTIN: Little bit of experience of Dave Rosenthal being here 14 times. He knows what this feels like.>>BJ: Play on. Here’s Kate Olson. Trying to find Bravard in the middle. Nothing doing. Iowa City West has loaded it up with the 1-0 lead.>>JUSTIN: They have the system with the Zimmerman coming next to Regan Steigleder and we have Pottratz. They’re keeping it really tight. Having said that, they are still playing with two high up in the field. You never know. They are comfortable, looking to break, possibly. As jeopardy P mentioned going to wait until 15 minutes until the end to start pushing players forward. >>BJ: A lot of soccer to be played here. Another whistle. By the referee Watson. Penalty against Dowling Catholic. As Iowa City West got that advantage. They were attacking often. Seven on the first half. Four on goal. This is booted away by Dowling Catholic. Kornstad with a big chunk of it. >>JUSTIN: With Iowa City West, they’re playing Emma Cooper down the middle. Moved Frisbie to the right-hand side. Rhodes back on the left. Iowa City West with the throw-in. There’s Rhodes. Steigleder lost it for a second. Iowa City West with three players back. 50/50 ball. Steigleder wins it. Kind of lost up in the air by Caligiuri.>>JUSTIN: Good movement by Cooper.>>BJ: Now pushing it back to the middle. Now Cooper. Still going through traffic. And Rhodes cannot catch up to the pass as it is taken away by Dowling Catholic.>>JUSTIN: Bravard has three players around her, pressing her. Forcing her to give away to the pressure. >>BJ: Deep, into the zone. Dowling Catholic will kick it out. Nobody came up to get that ball. Wondering about the energy level here of their team. Here’s Kelly. That one knocked out by Saunders. >>JUSTIN: Little bit frustrated that they didn’t come off the line to kick the ball. >>BJ: Hagenbucher with the throw-in. [Indiscernible] DeHaes. Now to — this is stepped up and snared by Caitlin Ryan.>>JUSTIN: The official ball [indiscernible] read that well to save it. With confidence as well.>>BJ: Planned it, patient on the play. Patience paid off. Caligiuri trying to forward it. Again Iowa City West just right there. Most of the balls, you have to angle them.>>BJ: Caligiuri tries to forward it. Rhodes will intercept. Steigleder. She’s been dangerous. Flashes it to Rhodes send back out. See was right there. She had Pottratz right there trying to give her an attendant. Dowling is kicking it away.>>JUSTIN: Right there. >>BJ: Peterson in. Bertram in for Dowling Catholic. And she spells Claire Carlson. Dowling will clear it. Here’s Bravard. One thing for sure here in state of Iowa. Phil Watson checking out the players to make sure they’re OK. We will have a new player of the year. That was owned by a player for several years. Bailey Bravard will be a player that I think many would likely get the award, alcohol be handed out here after the season. And Iowa City West will just poke it away there by Katie Olson. With that backup season.>>JUSTIN: After the last four years everyone in the shadow of rose. That would be interesting to see Bailey Bravard at the top of the list.>>BJ: Megan. And then Dowling Catholic throws it in. Trying to regroup here for Dowling Catholic. Egan. Caligiuri, kicking to the corner. Nothing doing as Egan cannot catch up with it.>>JUSTIN: Claire was reaching for the ball. Move closer, get it out of her feet. Maybe turn, face the ball.>>BJ: Dowling will give it a toss with Lensing. The corner will be knocked out. Last knocked out by [indiscernible]. Could be Iowa City West. We may have a corner kick. We do, by Dowling Catholic. >>JUSTIN: [Indiscernible] force the corner. [Indiscernible] for the delivery.>>BJ: Free shot against Dowling. Now from the corner. Everybody runs in. Attack it for the middle. Kicked out by Steigleder. In fact, she puts it out of the park. DeHaes will do it again.>>Stick with your mark. >>BJ: Towards the middle. A drive by Dowling Catholic. Steigleder will clear. >>JUSTIN: That is corner. Out on the near post. It will peel off.>>BJ: Bravard to the middle. Deflected out by Pottratz. 1-0. Iowa City West with the lead on Dowling Catholic. Dowling up to the middle. Had an open net but could not connect. Caitlin Ryan, again, being the gambler and pulling out an ace.>>JUSTIN: Very well there coming out. Very brave when she dived to her right. As we can see here on the replay. Bailey Bravard reacts late. Good save. Well done. The second half, taken the gas off the accelerator. Leaned off more defensively. Here’s Peterson, to Cooper, this play, Dowling will have the ball back. Playing keep away. No seniors on the field here for the Women of Troy. It will stay with Iowa City West. Abby Hansen will come in the game for Women of Troy. Coming up, getting a good hand is Anna Zimmerman.>>JUSTIN: [Indiscernible] by Daniel and the second one attack by Lensing, giving away a corner, though.>>BJ: Cooper, corner kick. High, but carried by Dowling. Off the head — Bravard will try to ignite something. Forcing it ahead. Nobody is keeping pace with her. Bravard will lose it in traffic. Bertram will hold it in.>>JUSTIN: [Indiscernible] four to the left, choosing to go right. >>BJ: Flash it, and it is out. 1-0. Iowa City West.>>JUSTIN: I think in about 10 minutes’ time, he will make the change if it is still 1-0 for Iowa City West. My guess is he will start to push numbers forward. >>BJ: That is tough to do because Iowa City West, the propensity, the way they can handle the ball. To move it down the field rather efficiently. You are exposing yourself or opening yourself up more to Dowling Catholic. >>JUSTIN: Correct, it is dangerous, especially with the technical ability in midfield.>>BJ: Steigleder will lead ahead with Cooper.>>JUSTIN: Definitely a free kick, in my eyes. >>BJ: Against Cooper. Will float it. Bertram. To Kelly, Bravard, out of the way. That one pushed bye-bye Shaffer.>>JUSTIN: The difference right now, Iowa City West lets the ball do the moving. The ball moves faster than you with the dribble. I think with Dowling Catholic, individuals are getting on the ball, dribbling at pass trying to beat them. >>BJ: It has been a while since Iowa City West won a state title. In fact, last championship came back in 2004. They’ve been in the finals before, though, winning — playing in 2000, 04 as we mentioned. Struck out in 09 and 11 and now in 2015. Dowling Catholic has been to the championship game twice before. Including this game here today.>>JUSTIN: Tremendous skill there. >>BJ: Peterson lost it. Now Egan.>>JUSTIN: Behind the ball for Iowa City West. Six behind the ball for the one. Caroline Egan, needs to bring it around again. Get more numbers. About to prepare.>>BJ: Kelly will track it down in the corner. The foot race for the ball. The defender for Iowa City West giving Bailey trouble all day. Caitlin Ryan. Tia Saunders has been outstanding defensively.>>JUSTIN: She has. Pace for pace, matching Dowling Catholic. But Tia Saunders is fantastic. >>BJ: She’s had the right angles today. Egan closing in on to Lensing. Caligiuri can’t quite get in check with the ball. A little tangle with Olson. And Egan. Centers it and the two-hopper handled by Ryan. >>JUSTIN: She has a little more space in there. Bailey Bravard was open in the box with Sarah Kelly in the far post.>>BJ: Deep on the attack. Haven’t seen a lot of that from Dowling Catholic today. >>JUSTIN: We haven’t. We haven’t seen the combination from the final first. They need to get it together. Maybe the last 20 minutes they will get it together. They need a little more creativity. >>BJ: It is go time here for Dowling Catholic. Bravard is tied up. Saunders will kick it out of there. And Iowa City West and Dowling Catholic come in with substitutes. Morgan Schmitt-Morris comes in along with Vivian Broderick.>>JUSTIN: Vivian Broderick will slice to the left-hand side. This could be the time they make the change. Now Bravard is going to be whistled for the foul. And she thought she was the one that hit the deck here. So 20 minutes to play. A 1-0 game. Steigleder again, can just create her own space. Now to Rhodes, pass a little too strong from Pottratz.>>JUSTIN: Iowa City West has the ability to keep the ball especially with players like Regan Steigleder. Keep it moving. Let the ball do the work. Let Dowling Catholic do the running. Can’t afford to give the ball away. Need it in the right places. Like Bravard, Caligiuri. They can make it happen.>>BJ: We’re nearing the mark with dock dog will try to add the extra player to try to make the push. 1-0 game. Again, Pottratz at midfield. She’s had a big game here today. Cooper with the leaner. Little bit of a break away. Iowa City West with the shot. This is up and knocked over the net by Nikkole Day. How about that? Morgan Schmitt-Morris on the attack.>>JUSTIN: Behind by Emma Cooper. Day getting her hands there to muck it out of the corner. >>BJ: This will be Emma Cooper. >>And play. Hands off. Hands off. I got ya’. >>BJ: Pound it. And Rhodes. Kicked away by downing. Back by Wilson. Back to midfield for the moment. Caligiuri.>>JUSTIN: Keep the ball. Keep the ball. >>BJ: That was won by Rhodes.>>JUSTIN: Looked like a foul to me. The referee is letting them play on.>>BJ: Running ahead to Bertram. Caligiuri, too sharp on the kick. And this will — throw it out.>>JUSTIN: Caligiuri has to connection, has to find feet.>>BJ: Cooper at midfield. Goes back deep. McDonnell ahead to Cooper. Kelly on the outside. To the middle. Caligiuri will hold it. Bounces back to Bertram. Now the deep shot. And this one will just go out. Caitlin Ryan gives up on it. Haley DeHaes put a charge into it. >>JUSTIN: Again, they need to be patient. Haley DeHaes striking to try to get one behind. The line is so deep they will never get behind, especially the keeper coming off the line to smother it. Got to be better. Maybe play short. Pull Iowa City West out. Get their backfire off the [indiscernible] box.>>BJ: Now a throw-in. Rhodes. Looked up high, finds Cooper. Back to Rhodes on the wing. Rhodes, trying to go for it, but was stopped, still not being denied. Leah Rhodes. Boy, a lot of contact.>>JUSTIN: Good skill there by Rhodes.>>BJ: Keep the clock moving and the ball moving as well. Now Rhodes is tripped up. Lensing was tied up. Inside of 15 minutes. Still a 1-0 lead for Iowa City West. >>JUSTIN: Look at the skill there by Rhodes. Cut to the side. Difficult to say upon I think she won the ball, lensing managed to win that. >>BJ: The kick with Olson. Up the net, up high help redirected by Dowling Catholic. Olson will try to flush it back in. Caligiuri bag out there as well. Caligiuri will just poke it north. An easy ball for Caitlin Ryan. Caligiuri. In open space. Bertram will try to find it. To Caligiuri. Again, Dowling not getting the ball very deep inside of the zone. >>JUSTIN: No, no, Caligiuri is just two opportunities there and just rushing it. Bring the ball down. Get — they need to get more players into the attack. I wonder where Bertram will push forward. She’s good up-front. Maybe they will make that change with Bertram higher up the field. She is make that happen if Bravard comes in to collect that ball.>>BJ: Back to the middle. Everything it seems like, in the middle is won by Iowa City West. >>JUSTIN: Not attacking the first ball, the second ball. Kind of running away from it. Iowa City West always being first to the ball.>>BJ: Caroline Egan comes back in. And Claire Caligiuri is out for Dowling Catholic. Egan getting a long rest here. Bertram centers it, nobody home.>>JUSTIN: Doing well there to set the path. Starting position been really good there. Started with the left back.>>BJ: Lensing to Broderick. Squib one down. Here by Caitlin Ryan. Who, again, will make Dowling Catholic come to her to stop the ball. Going inside of 12 minutes for the Women of Troy to try to win their second state title.>>JUSTIN: Dave Rosenthal is pacing up and down the sideline. Got to be nervous now. 11 minutes away from the state final. >>BJ: Iowa City West has gone through the CIML, through the tournament up to this point. Winners, in the quarter finals. In the semi’s meet Johnston 2-1. And now to try to take down number one. Here’s Dowling, Kelly, the shot that is knocked away by Olson. On the rebound. Bravard. With the wing. Don’t want to strike too hard and high. >>You hit the target. >>JUSTIN: Good game so far. >>BJ: Assist on the only goal. Up and out. Cooper. To the middle. Steigleder. Now to Cooper. She’s running free. The shot just wide. Kicks back in. >>JUSTIN: Looks like it is offsides. Yeah. We will have to see that again. >>BJ: Just a little bit ahead of the play. >>Offsides. Huh-uh.>>BJ: No goal. Still 1-0. You can see it, Cooper was trying to go to the net. And then it came back. And Schmitt-Morris was too far ahead of it. >>JUSTIN: From my angle up here, it did look offside. Schmitt-Morris came in too far. >>BJ: Still 1-0. Here’s Cooper, back in the middle. Emma. And this one rolls out. Dowling Catholic has 8:50 to work with it. We talk about when you throw the extra player up the field. You kind of expose yourself. And Iowa City West has a lot of talent. Putting the pressure back on Dowling Catholic Shot to the middle. This is headed back out by Olson. And Steigleder controls it. Whoa does she ever control it. >>JUSTIN: So composed on the ball. Knows when to slow it down. Knows when to speed it up. >>BJ: Eight minutes to play. >>JUSTIN: Great touch on the outside of her foot. >>BJ: With the left foot, back to the right. Now just ate away from time off the clock. Great shot, forced in by Iowa City West. Let’s take a look at the offsides call again. Just a little too out in front with Schmitt-Morris here.>>JUSTIN: Yeah, the timing of her run was just off there.>>BJ: 1-0, Dowling Catholic. Down, hasn’t been able to get the ball. Iowa City West has done a terrific job of take away. Pottratz.>>JUSTIN: Iowa City West staying composed behind the ball. At times, behind the ball. On transition, Dowling Catholic getting forward quick enough. They have to go up with it. Whether they lose 2-0. They have to get that equalizer.>>BJ: Bertram has it taken away. It will be a throw-in for Dowling Catholic. Lensing to DeHaes. Iowa City West back deep expecting the onslaught into the six-minute mark. >>JUSTIN: Going three at the back. Six minutes to go. He has to do it upon going to take a risk. >>BJ: Leah Rhodes back into the game. And she will be back in for Schmitt-Morris. That one lost out of bounds, it will be a throw-in here for Iowa City West. Dowling, trying to send it down the field, on the attack. Again, Iowa City West, Steigleder and company, just controlling it now at midfield.>>50/50 by Dowling for the most. >>JUSTIN: Good [indiscernible]. >>BJ: Bravard, lost her footing. Bailey will give it up to Kornstad. Back to Bravard. Set it up with her left foot. Wide on the mark.>>JUSTIN: Bravard is trying everything. Left foot touch, right foot touch. 30 yards. >>BJ: Those blasts are tough. Trying to score when you’re not — your chances get even less when you are that far out. This will be shot high! Hit the pole. >>JUSTIN: Can you believe it? Broderick, on the left-hand side. Catching it into Sarah Kelly. Sarah Kelly [indiscernible] on the swivel. Lay it in for car lean. Four minutes to go.>>BJ: Iowa City West will chase after it with Saunders. Saunders will keep it in play, not only does she do that, but will forward the ball to midfield. Collision and a whistle here. As both players were going for the ball, but both were going for the ball, but it will be called against Bertram. >>JUSTIN: Commitment. They both want to win it best of my knowledge contact sort. Up to the ball. Caitlin Ryan. Bravard was closing in. Anxious moments for Iowa City West. In for Dowling. See if there are any heroics for Dowling here in the last stretch. Rhodes. Wears it down. This will be — by Dowling will skip it out to Marin Daniel. As Anna Zimmerman back into the game for Iowa City West.>>JUSTIN: That was a tough ride. Caroline Egan’s delivery off the cross bar. 2:20 left. Could be an exciting finish. >>BJ: Dowling trying to win the first-ever soccer state title. Iowa City West trying to claim their second. Here’s Cooper. >>JUSTIN: Good footwork. Good combination as well.>>BJ: Day will roll it ahead. Kelly. Taken away by Hansen. Now inside a minute 45 to play. And Iowa City West trying to play keep away to join Ankeny for state champions. Up to the high.>>JUSTIN: Rhodes sending it over the ball. They need something — Dowling Catholic in the last few minutes and seconds to go forward. >>BJ: The push. Steigleder and company. The fundamentals have been there today for Iowa City West. This one is held in by Dowling Catholic. Again, a minute to play.>>JUSTIN: Very technical. >>BJ: At midfield, that is headed straight up. A big punch back. Trouble for Dowling Catholic as we get inside 50 seconds to play. Bertram. Down to the middle. They try to find Bravard, but taken away. Now Bravard has it. At midfield, caught up in traffic. Punched away by Iowa City West. 30 seconds to play. Rhodes along the far sideline, gets free. >>JUSTIN: Keep the ball, BJ. >>BJ: Iowa City West sensing they have a state championship. 20 seconds to go. Dowling can’t get it deep into the offensive zone. Iowa City West, looks like they’re going to win their second state championship. Down to two. That is back. The Women of Troy have done it! [Cheers] >>. >>JUSTIN: Dave Rosenthal has done it again. They’ve denied Iowa City West the first title in 11 years. Knocked off the Maroons here in the class 3A state championship.>>BJ: Game-winning goal to Leah Rhodes connected with her on the attack. Iowa City West is your class 3A state champion. >>JUSTIN: Tell you what BJ. Fantastic second half. I thought Iowa City West did well. Reagan Steigleder was controlling the game from midfield. So composed on the ball. Didn’t allow Dowling Catholic to play. Credit to Dowling Catholic. They fought till the end. They came up with a really good chance with car lean Egan in the last five minutes of the game. Came off the crossbar.>>BJ: It is time now for the all-tournament team. Let’s go to the public address announcer. Al Hilton. >>ANNOUNCER: Roger Francis. The all-tournament medals will be presented by Jim Wright of the Iowa high school soccer coach association. [Clamoring]>>ANNOUNCER: 2015 class 3A all-tournament team. From Iowa City West Caitlin Ryan! [Cheers] >>ANNOUNCER: From Iowa City West Emma Cooper. From Dowling Catholic Marin Daniel. They get it done as a win it 1-0 over Dowling Catholic. What a battle here today, Justin. >>JUSTIN: Yes, I think deservedly so. Proud state champions. Very technical side. And a very good plan going into the game. They kept the ball more than Dowling Catholic. Dowling Catholic reverted to more individual athletic ability on the ball. Good results deserved winners.>>BJ: The 1A to elan. The 2A championship goes to Ankeny in overtime. 2-1 help in the 3A title contest, Iowa City West with their second state championship as they down Dowling Catholic.
