“Hey how are you doing? Thanks for coming, I’m Michelle.” Nice to see you, I’m Alex — nice to meet you.” For me and Victor today it’s a small thing that we do but
it it really has an impact on a lot of these people. Just going in to see the smile on
their face, you know they’re going through really tough times and and you would never want to put yourself in their shoes, but to help them and to give them just a smile. You know a lot of them said that we made their day just by coming so that’s huge for us. Hope it’s okay that I gave this jersey away. Big reason we come here is to obviously cheer people up but you know they’re ones they’re the ones cheering us up! “How are you doing?” It’s just a very humbling experience coming here because all of them are in very good spirits and you know there are different stages obviously with this terrible disease, but you know everyone is still positive and so happy to meet us. And, for us to be able to do this is just very special. Everyone fighting this disease is a true warrior and true hero. “How are you doing?”
“Hangin in there, one day at a time.” We know these people are a big part of our communities, they’re people that come watch our games. It was a great day today, a lot of
people were very happy to see us and we were happy to see them.
