Undercover Surprise: Trolley Stop Cafe | Season 2 Ep. 1 | GORDON RAMSAY’S 24 HOURS TO HELL & BACK

August 25, 2019

– As you know, when they all tend to be on
their best bloody behavior. So I’m going undercover. Deputy Connor
reporting for duty. You can just tell that
there’s no manager present. The smell. Can you smell that? It smells [bleep]. Yeah, it has a smell. Look at my oysters. This is some of the most
disgusting food I’ve ever seen. Please don’t eat anything else. That cheese on the nachos. [bleep] Time to sort this [bleep] out. [dramatic music] WOMAN: Gordon Ramsay!
– Ladies and gentlemen. WOMAN: That’s Gordon! I’m so sorry, can I just have
your attention for 30 seconds, please? I don’t want anyone
else eating a thing.

Trolley stop should be ashamed. Stop serving trash and pay good cooks their worth.

Last time I went there was in October 2018, and the service was terrible. I haven’t been back since. The only good thing that night was I got to meet Bobby Brown. I see they are not open 24 hours anymore. Hopefully this got them back on track, because this was my spot after a night out.

I am from the staff when Trolley Stop was a few years old. As much as I admire Chef Ramsay, he and the current staff were derelict in omitting why it was once great. The real, original Chef Prieur designed kitchen and was a USMC combat veteran that trained
at the Waldorf-Astoria. We are Easterners that lived there almost eighteen years, leaving in 2004.
Although as an academic, it would have been an extra job (needed in city by many), my background and minor in foods and nutrition would have never made me kitchen manager just because I wanted to work. You had to know the full menu, keep your work area clean at all times and prove yourself. I was trained as a backup for a lapsed addict that was unreliable about being there, so he got his act together to prevent firing. The Chef must have retired or died. His son is a transit union executive and Mardi Gras Indian chief in New Orleans that can attest to his father's stern perfectionism. By the way, I am commenting from a family account since I do not use social media often.

I ate there last Mardi Gras after this was taped. The atmosphere and decore is much much better but our burgers were a little under cooked and not hot…..shame
